As I boarded the crosstown bus at 14th Street and Eighth Avenue in Manhattan on Wednesday morning, I noticed a couple -- man and woman -- sitting together a few seats back, bundled up for the chilly Fall weather and showing all the indications of a mood somewhere between contentment and bliss. I scooted over to a seat near them and asked if I could take their picture for this blog?
They conferred briefly and nodded, "sure." This is the shot, of which I'm happy to say both Harold and Ethelmae Mason -- married for 50 years -- approved. Thank you both, Harold and Ethelmae. Here's wishing you many more years of togetherness and love. God bless, Rob
